What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

I have expertise in content marketing, digital marketing, book development and marketing, and editorial leadership and journalism.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

I love collaborating with others to produce exceptional work that is helpful and/or inspirational to others and meaningful to me personally and professionally.

What work have you done that you're particularly proud of?

I recently collaborated with a first-time author to help market her book on how to be an antiracist educator. Getting to know this incredibly inspirational woman and being a small part of her journey was really important to me and I learned a great deal in the process.

What makes you proud to work at Blue Beyond?

I see parallels between the project I just mentioned and the kind of work Cheryl and my colleagues at BB are passionate about. I can already tell I’m going to learn so much in a culture characterized by deep trust and high expectations, and I’m eager to help bring BB’s story and expertise to a wider audience.

Who or what matters most to you?

My children, extended family and dear friends. Human connection and building community.

Do you have a favorite question?

Because I’m addicted to travel, it would probably be, “What are your favorite places on Earth and why?” My son says “addicted” is an understatement.

Name a peak experience in your life. What happened?

Spending the first seven months of 2019 in Spain would top this list. From our base in Barcelona, we travelled more than 3,000 miles by car to visit places like Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium and Andorra — a tiny country between France and Spain I had never heard of. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures and, of course, trying the local cuisine!

What learning experience had the biggest impact on who you are now?

Growing up as the youngest daughter of a Presbyterian minister.

What's your favorite place?

That’s cruel. I couldn’t name just one. 🙂
