What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

To date, my entire career has been in Human Resources. I have touched almost every part of the function including leadership development, employee onboarding, recruitment, employee engagement, organizational culture, performance management, program management and employee wellness.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

I believe that people are at the heart of an organization and engaged employees are a key component of company success. I find it rewarding to help organizations engage their employees in order to meet and hopefully exceed business goals. Additionally, I find it rewarding to help people find meaning and feel supported in their work.

What makes you proud to work at Blue Beyond?

I’m proud to work at Blue Beyond because I am passionate about the work that we do — helping organizations and their employees thrive is very rewarding. I am also proud to be here because we truly ‘walk the talk’ and operate in a way that we advise our clients. Every interaction that I have had with my Blue Beyond colleagues is meaningful, inspiring and authentic.

What is your favorite time of year and why?

Living in New England I get to experience a full spectrum of seasons and I have to say, I love every season equally. I love change and a fresh start so really look forward to the transition into each season. Spring is like a re-birth and after a tough New England winter it is so exciting to see the flowers start to bloom. Summer is a time for boating, paddle-boarding and of course the beach! The crisp fall air is so refreshing after a hot and humid summer and taking in the beautiful foliage as the trees shed their leaves is always amazing. The first snowfall in winter is magical and just when we are all feeling stir crazy from being cooped up in the house from a long harsh winter, spring starts again!

How does good consulting happen?

I think good consulting happens when you are able to meet your client wherever they are. Often times we go into a situation with pre-conceived notions or are already thinking that we know a good solution. Taking the time to listen to your client and really understand their story and unique situation will always lead to a great partnership and the best solution.

If you could take the year off, what would you do?

If I could take a year off, I would live abroad and travel with my husband. Every time I go to a new place my view of the world evolves based on the people that I have met and the experiences that I have had. It would be an amazing opportunity to live outside of my comfort zone for a year. However, after a year I think I would be ready to come home to my family and friends feeling refreshed and inspired!
