Ellen FitzGerald

Ellen is a consultant, with nearly a decade of experience in the higher education and nonprofit spaces, and significant interest in talent, organizational development, and change management. 

Prior to joining Blue Beyond, she spent 3 years working in education and programming at Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, where she designed and delivered programs for collegians and alumnae related to leadership development, risk management & prevention, service learning, and mentorship & advising. Ellen has also worked in workforce development, building and managing relationships with employers across the state of Indiana to connect them with early career talent, in order to combat brain drain and facilitate economic development. 

Most recently, she worked as Communications Manager for Dance Data Project®, a small nonprofit dedicated to increasing gender equity within classical ballet, specifically related to artistic and choreographic leadership.

Ellen is a member of the Junior League of Indianapolis (as the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force), the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana OPTIONS program, and Delta Gamma Fraternity’s international leadership team. She also served as Co-Chair of the Junior League of Indianapolis’ Training & Development Committee for two years, during which they were awarded JLI Committee of the Year two years in a row, for their efforts to provide meaningful and relevant programming to members during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ellen is known for her ability to collaborate with others in an inclusive and positive way in order to accomplish goals, her empathy and creativity, and her stellar writing. 

She holds an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education & Student Affairs and a B.S. in Ballet with Outside Field in English — both from Indiana University.
