Daniel O'Shea

Dan is a consultant with expertise in change management and strategy activation. He brings a passion for helping people and organizations thrive by creating meaningful employee experiences.

Prior to joining Blue Beyond, Dan worked for Root, Part of Accenture, as a change management consultant. While at Root, he developed solutions for Fortune 500 clients in multiple industries, supporting a wide spectrum of organizational changes. He earned a reputation for developing creative, highly engaging events for cultural, operational, and strategic change, and for bringing a fun and collaborative approach to his projects. During the pandemic, he helped lead and support an organizational refocus toward virtual events while developing expertise in the utility, medical, industrial, and public service industries.

Prior to Root, he accumulated almost a decade of leadership experience as a Commanding Officer in a highly selective and elite unit within the British Military. Among other roles, he led specialist communications teams, specialized force protection teams, and managed complex stakeholder relationships in geopolitically challenging settings. He was awarded three operational service medals, a team commendation, and an in-field promotion to Captain.

Previous experience also includes working in the creative industry as a manager for a special effects company in London, leading a team of 30 artists working on many feature films such as “Harry Potter.” During this time, he honed his project management and collaborative design skills while meeting stringent delivery requirements. He is known for his creative problem-solving skills, experience design, and relational nature.

Dan has an MBA (with Distinction), a BSc Honors in Media Production, and several diplomas in leadership and management, all obtained in the United Kingdom.
