Andrew is known for his determination, willingness to try new things, and his curious and inquisitive nature.

He is currently pursuing a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

As a Cognitive Science major, I bring an understanding of the brain and human behavior to the Blue Beyond team. Additionally, my 15+ years of being a competitive athlete, including experience at the Division 1 level, have taught me how to be a leader and how to effectively work as a member of a team.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

I enjoy work that allows me to wear many hats. I find value in work that allows me to bring all my different interests and styles under one umbrella. As consultants, we get to use the creative side of our brains, the analytical/critical thinking side, and are tasked with being able to sell and communicate these ideas to one another. I also really enjoy working as a member of a team, and using our collective knowledge to come up with the best solution to a problem.

What is your favorite time of the year? Why?

My favorite time of the year is the summer. I love the long sunny days and spending the days at the beach in Southern California. I also love the warm summer nights and being able to walk around barefoot on the beach at night with shorts and a t-shirt on, and the smell of the ocean in the air.

What's your favorite place?

My favorite place I have been to in the world so far is a small beach town called Tamarindo in Costa Rica.

What characteristic do you most admire in others?

I admire people that are confident in their beliefs and ideas but also open-minded to having their mind changed. I think it is important for people to stick to their guns and feel like they can fight for what they believe in, while still having humility to admit when they are wrong.
