Kim George

Kim is a seasoned corporate communications professional with more than 20 years' experience in diverse industries including banking and finance, energy, health care, and employee benefits consulting. He is adept at creating communications strategies and materials for internal and external audiences alike, conveying complex and sensitive issues in a clear, straightforward manner.

His broad experience includes managing employee communications for organizations undergoing fundamental business challenges. For example, he oversaw communications to Pacific Gas and Electric Company employees and retirees during difficult labor negotiations and was an integral part of its communications team during and after bankruptcy and the subsequent company-wide cultural and business transformation efforts.

Kim has also conducted extensive communications work for such organizations as Chevron Corporation, Visa Inc., Juniper Networks, Charles Schwab & Co., JP Morgan Chase & Co., Blue Cross, and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.

He has created and managed a variety of communications tools including organizational communication audits, employee surveys, executive presentations and speeches, critical issue communication plans, marketing collateral materials, and a wide range of HR and employee benefits communications. He has won several IABC Gold Quill and ACE awards for print and electronic publication redesign.

Kim has a master's degree in English from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. A San Diego native, Kim now lives in San Francisco.
