Cheryl's approach starts with assessing the business context and the leadership and business drivers of success. Past client organizations include Hewlett Packard Company, Juniper Networks, Applied Biosystems, PG&E, Diageo, Owens Corning, Inova Health Systems, Suncor, Foster Farms, Ortho McNeil, and Gap Inc.  Her typical client is a line or functional executive who has been charged with leading transformative change.

In addition to her private sector experience, Cheryl has a deep background in working with non-profit and governmental organizations. Her non-profit work has included a variety of efforts, including strategic planning, leadership development, technical assistance, and program development with organizations such as Public Health Law and Policy, Partnership for the Public's Health, International School of Panama, Modesto Unified School District, Watsonville Unified School District, and The National Skills Standards Board.

Cheryl is founder and CEO of Blue Beyond Consulting and the Blue Beyond Trust. She has been a speaker and teacher on a variety of subjects including organizational transformation, leadership, culture change, and people and organizational strategy. Cheryl holds a B.A. and Masters of Divinity from Anderson University and she completed her PhD coursework in Philosophy and Religion at Claremont Graduate School.

Cheryl lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband Tom and their delightful 13-year old twins. She and her family enjoy almost any activity that includes nature, education, school sports, youth, and community life. And yes, the sermons that pop up when you Google her name are hers-she gets to put her Masters of Divinity to work occasionally as a guest preacher at her local UCC church, where she and her family are members.
