Karen Berman is a senior-level business consultant with over 15 years of experience in helping companies to become more nimble. She brings a depth of knowledge and experience in change management, project management, process design and communication to Blue Beyond Consulting. Karen understands that change happens at a personal level and works closely with clients to ensure they are prepared to lead their organization through challenging shifts. She has had such a passion for this field of work for so long that back in college she created her own major, Organizational Behavior. Hailing from New York, Karen has a direct approach and has been sought out for facilitation where she gets to the root of issues and brings teams together with a shared vision.
Since moving to San Francisco in 2002, Karen has been working independently with some of the oldest and largest companies in the area including Chevron, Gap and Williams Sonoma. In much of her work with these companies, she has directed the change efforts for the deployment of new business processes and technologies, standardizing the way people work across brands, functions and regions to vastly improve their efficiency and effectiveness. As part of the Blue Beyond team, she is continuing this focus with various clients.
Karen loves to travel and has visited all 7 continents. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and free time is usually spent being active in nature from sailing, paddling, hiking, and cycling to just wandering by the San Francisco Bay. She is also dedicated to giving back and is involved with several local non-profits including SFSMILES and the Marine Mammal Center.
