Qualifications

  • Experience with a broad range of change and communications skill sets, including stakeholder engagement, change management, employee communications, manager enablement, strategy development, program development, and/or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in related field a plus.
  • In-depth experience in a business function requiring extensive consulting and relationship development capability such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Employee Communications, Change Management, etc.
  • Experience working in technology, life sciences and/or biotechnology industries.
  • Proven track record of partnering and collaborating with others in order to deliver positive business results.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in a variety of formats (e.g. web, blogs, video scripts, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operations Assistant will provide support in a number of business-critical areas as well as offer day-to-day support. Our ideal candidate will be excited by and comfortable with wearing many hats. Typical duties include:

  • Ensure Blue Beyond’s Castro Valley office is welcoming and ready for our team and clients, including managing office supplies, overseeing housekeeping, organizing in-office breakfast and lunches, and creating a hospitable and welcoming environment at all times.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support including tasks associated with client support, business development, marketing, calendar planning.
  • Support all company-related events and team meetings end-to-end from space set-up, AV, food, and other hospitality-oriented support.
  • Support marketing projects and events, such as our holiday mailing, onsite trainings, etc.
  • Proactively manage and stock office supplies and inventory of client-facing collateral.
  • Provide support for HR Lead with talent recruiting, onboarding, and off-boarding.
  • Master all of our key business applications and technology tools (i.e. CRM, CMS, time tracking, email, video conferencing, etc.) and serve as subject matter expert, offering team training and support materials, keeping us current, troubleshooting issues.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices and SOPs for our company tools and systems.
  • Support proactive and effective day-to-day team communication, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about key information.
  • Other tasks as directed by the head of operations.

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM familiarity a plus) and tech/application savvy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative style
  • Ability to work onsite at our Castro Valley headquarters
